“Watch TV Anywhere” is the ability to watch your favorite TV channel or TV show while you’re out of the house, on a mobile device that is connected to the internet. Your smartphone, tablet, e-reader, laptop and so on. You can watch at the office, shopping mall, hotel, airport, vacation home, etc.
It’s easy. First, you’ll need your MyRCN user name and password. If you don’t remember it, we can help. Call 1-800-746-4726. If you don’t have one at all, it takes only seconds to get one. Once you have it, watching TV while you’re out is simple.
Second, say you’re a fan of NBC's Sunday Night Football, CBS’s The Big Bang Theory, or AMC’s The Walking Dead. Go to the iTunes (Apple) or Google Play (Android) store. Search for that channel – NBC, CBS, AMC and so on. Download the app. Open the app. Select Sign-in. Choose RCN as your TV provider from the menu. Enter your MyRCN user name & password. Start watching. That’s it!

It might. Watching TV while you’re out of the home transmits a lot of data. Sometimes your provider will pop up a message to alert you. Either way, you should check your data plan first before you start watching on a smartphone or wireless network. Unfortunately, we have no control over data plan limits and charges made by your mobile carrier. Be extra careful when you travel, especially outside the US. Data roaming charges may apply.

Almost each TV channel app is available on all devices (PC, laptop, iPad, iPhone, Android phone). This depends largely on the individual TV networks and some of them have not made their apps or programs available on all devices. When you attempt to download the app, you should be able to tell if it’s available on that device.
A television network doesn’t necessarily own all of the rights to all of the programs they transmit. A television network may have the right to transmit a movie, but only while someone is in their home, not while they are out of the home. So, once again, it depends on the television network.
RCN2GO is only available to residential customers. Using RCN2GO to set recordings is only applicable for customers who have a DVR powered by TiVo (not applicable for Motorola DVR equipment). Certain RCN2GO features are only available while in the home. Watching recorded shows stored on your DVR powered by TiVo is only applicable while in the home and this feature is only available for customers who have a six-tuner DVR powered by TiVo or TiVo Stream. Other restrictions may apply. Not all content or programs can be downloaded or transferred between devices due to copyright protections or contractual limitations.
