RCN Announces New Music Choice Offering
RCN First to Launch Robust Music Platform Available on TiVo® Devices
PRINCETON, NJ – December 12, 2016 - It’s bold, it’s hip and it’s easy to use. It’s the “New Music Choice,” a brand new, enhanced next generation of Music Choice, the #1 music provider on television that now combines audio and video on the same platform enabling consumers to access multiple genres and decades of music with content including today’s top artists.
RCN customers are the first to experience the “New Music Choice” service that combines 75 commercial-free audio channels and 25 video channels with access to 20,000+ music videos and exclusive content on the same platform at no additional cost.
Customers can access 2 times the number of music audio channels and 20 times the number of music videos from one place on their TiVo set-top box and watch on the biggest screen in their home. This marks the first time a programmer has offered this robust of an audio and music video content library for TV; a big bonus for consumers seeking to enjoy and discover music.
This new service, exclusive to RCN customers, can be accessed simply by tuning directly to a channel or through TiVo’s main menu to launch the app. RCN customers who have a TiVo set-top box can find the “New Music Choice” on channel 851 (1900 in the Lehigh Valley, PA). RCN customers can also access through TiVo’s main menu by going to TiVo Central® and selecting Music & Photos, then Music Choice. For example, when listening to Rihanna on “Hit List,” the consumer will see images of the videos that are available from her robust catalog and exclusive pieces from the Music Choice archives, allowing the consumer to seamlessly move from a Rihanna audio experience into her music videos.
