How much is the referral credit?
Referring Small Business customer will get one month free of their monthly
service charge, up to a $300 credit for referring a Business customer and up
to $50 credit for referring a Residential customer.
How is credit determined for a Business Referral?
Credit amount is equal to one (1) month of customer’s base a la carte rate up
to $300. Taxes, fees, surcharge, or per usage charges do not count towards
monthly base rate and therefore, are not included in the credit.
How is credit determined for a Residential Referral?
Credit amount is equal to one (1) month of customer’s base a la carte rate up to
$50. Taxes, fees, surcharge, or per usage charges do not count towards monthly
base rate and therefore, are not included in the credit.
Who is eligible?
Offer available to active or pending install RCN customer (pending customers
must be installed within 30 days of submitting the referral). Customer must
complete the online referral form in order to be eligible for the credit.
Referral must reside in an RCN serviceable residence and not currently
subscribe to any RCN services, or reside in an active RCN customer’s address.
Referral must not reside in any address where there is a bulk billing
arrangement. Any new customers whom you referred must be installed within
90 days of the referral submission. Former customers whose service has been
disconnected for less than 90 days, or who have back balances outstanding,
will not qualify for the referral credit. Referring customer cannot be an
RCN Employee or associated with certain customer types.
What are the referral credit eligibility requirements?
The referring customer / referral must meet the following requirements at the time
of the referral to be eligible for a credit.
Customer Requirements
Active customer in good standing (i.e., no outstanding balance greater than 31 days past due)
- Not associated with an employee account
- Not associated with a courtesy, house, or VIP account
- Not a pending disconnect
- Has received less than 24 referral credits within calendar year
Can I short pay my bill in anticipation of my credit?
No. There are specific steps in the Referral process and account must be active and
in good standing at all times during the Referral process for credit to be issued.
Other restrictions apply.
How will I be credited?
Credit will be applied to referring customer’s account within 60 days or 2-3 billing
cycles after referral is installed with service. No checks or cash
will be disbursed.
Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?
Yes Program limited to 24 referral credits in a calendar year.
