What services are being provided to me at no cost through GW?
Through RCN’s agreement with the university, you will receive a digital converter box, 177 digital basic channels, 7 channels of HBO and 11 channels of Showtime.
Can I add services?
Yes, RCN has additional premium and international channels available to students and faculty. The cost for these additional services would be charged to you on a monthly basis.
What information will be required from me to add services?
You will be required to provide your social security number, a credit card for auto payment, as well as your home billing address. To maintain security, social security numbers will be given directly to an RCN agent after you have filled out the preliminary request form, found here.
Will I have access to Video ON-Demand or Pay-Per-View services?
No. Video On-Demand and Pay-Per-View services will not be available until additional network upgrades are completed by The George Washington University. Once those upgrades are completed, RCN will coordinate with the University to bring those services to you.
How do I view my bill?
You will need to go to RCN.com, and on the right side of the screen, you will see the Customer Center. From there, you will click on “Visit the Customer Center.” Under the “Customer Center Account,” click on “register now.” After you register for this account, you will be able to view your bill on-line.
How can I receive support for my cable service?
Callers to the IT help desk (202-994-GWIT) will be connected to RCN for support.
How do I complete a self install?
You will receive the self install instructions from the STS help desk when you pick up a HD converter box. A copy of these instructions can also be found here.
Can I get service at my home?
Check to see if RCN is available to you.
