How To Use Call Waiting

Call Waiting lets you know someone else is trying to reach you when you are already on the line.

Directions for Activation

  1. A special tone notifies you that a second caller is trying to reach you and allows you to connect with that caller.
  2. Upon hearing the tone, press the receiver or flash button once.
  3. This puts the first caller on hold and connects the user to the second call.
  4. To return to the first call, press the receiver or flash button once and release it.
  5. To switch between calls, repeat these steps.

Call Waiting remains active on the line. It may be temporarily disabled if you do not want a call to be interrupted.

To temporarily disable Call Waiting

  1. Pick up the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press *70.
  3. Listen for three brief tones, followed by a normal dial tone
  4. Dial the telephone number of the person you wish to call. Call Waiting will not interrupt this call.
  5. After hanging up, Call Waiting automatically reactivates.
