Who can order service through Georgetown University?
RCN provides digital cable service at a special rate to Georgetown students, that live in the following on-campus residential housing and on-campus townhomes.

What will I need in order to place an order?
Students will need to provide their Residential housing building name, their room/dorm/housing number and University ID Number. Students can refer to the University ID number which can be found on the front of your GoCARD and on most official Georgetown documentation.

Will I have access to Video ON DEMAND and Pay-Per-View events?
We believe you’ll be thrilled with the amazing library of programming that’s FREE with RCN’s Video ON DEMAND – more than 2,500 hours including full episodes of selected network shows. PPV is not available @ GU due to programming restrictions in a university environment. Video ON DEMAND In addition to the features above, ON DEMAND titles can be manipulated like a VCR or DVD and can be viewed with unlimited access for 24 hours. Plus, when you order premium packages/channels, or if you upgrade to an HD-capable converter, you’ll get additional access to ON DEMAND content.
How many converter boxes can I order?
Students may order no more than five total converter boxes and there is an additional monthly charge for multiple boxes (fees vary according to equipment type).
Is there an Installation charge? Can I install the equipment myself?
No to both questions. Students who live in either the Residential Halls or on-campus townhomes will require a technician to make an installation; however, there will be no extra charge for standard work to activate services. Residents receive free standard Digital TV installation.
How can I pay my bill?
You can by telephone (if you have your account number and telephone number), check, credit card, or visiting the RCN payment center in DC, located at 1304 F St., NW. You can also sign up for the convenience of RCN’s AutoPay program, which ensures both on-time payments and uninterrupted service. To enroll in AutoPay, visit the RCN Customer Center.
Can I sign up for auto-pay?
Yes. If you order online, you will be given the option to choose AutoPay simply by selecting the radio button during checkout. RCN recommends this strongly, as AutoPay is the best way to ensure timely payments and uninterrupted service by automatically billing your credit or debit card.
Where can I return my boxes during ‘move out,’ mid-semester, or if I decide to cancel?
Students may return their equipment to the Office of Housing Services in Harbin Hall, room 100.
