Cable TV Troubleshooting - How do I set Parental Locks?
Parental locks prevent certain stations from appearing on your television. Follow these steps to set up your parental Locks:

Digital Converters ( DCT5100, DCT2000, DCT1000)
1. Press MENU on your RCN remote control to get to the MAIN MENU of the TV Guide interactive on your TV screen.
2. From the MAIN MENU page, select "PARENTS".
3. A small window will pop up and prompt you for a passcode. Enter in your passcode (if you do not know what your passcode is, call a Customer Service Representative at 1-800-RING-RCN).
4. The PARENTAL CONTROL screen will now show. You can set your locks by Program Title, TV Rating, Movie Rating, or even a specific channel. This page also has an area that you can make sure that Adult Programming titles in the on-screen lineup will just show as ADULT PROGRAMMING, and not the specific title. Another feature here is Master Locks. If set to YES, you can bypass your locks without having to set them again later. You can also restore all locks from this function.
