Customer Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

Participation in the RCN Customer Rewards Program provides rewards points for dollars spent toward your RCN invoice. Participation in the RCN Customer Rewards program is contingent on the customer’s application for and acceptance by the RCN Rewards Credit Card. Customers must apply to the Customer Rewards Program at the RCN.com web site. Participation in the RCN Customer Rewards program also requires the customer to automatically pay their bill, in full, each month by a charge to the customer’s RCN Rewards Credit Card.

General Terms and Conditions
RCN reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change the Program rules, regulations, benefits, conditions of participation or associated Point (as defined below) values, awards, award levels, special offers and/or any other term or condition that governs customer participation in the Program, in whole or in part, at any time and without specific notice to the customer, even though such changes may affect the value of the Points already accumulated. RCN also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to discontinue the Program at any time without notice.

Consent for Use of Customer Proprietary Network Information for Marketing Purposes
Federal law governs the disclosure and use of Customer Proprietary Network Information or "CPNI”. Customers have a right, and RCN has a duty, under federal law, to protect the confidentiality of CPNI.

Federal law defines CPNI as information that relates to the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use of a telecommunications service subscribed to by any customer of a telecommunications carrier, and that is made available to the carrier by the customer solely by virtue of the carrier-customer relationship. CPNI also includes information contained in the bills pertaining to telephone exchange service or telephone toll service received by a customer of a carrier. CPNI includes information such as the types of telecommunications services you purchase, how you use them, and the related call detail and billing information for those services.

Your affirmative and express “opt-in” consent is required for RCN to share your CPNI with Revolution Money Inc., which is an independent third-party that administers the RCN Customer Rewards Program. If you are approved for an account, Revolution Money Inc., will use your CPNI for purposes of administering, updating and managing your payment and reward transactions, and for providing you with marketing communications such as Rewards Program information and updates to your Rewards account.

You have a right to disapprove use of your CPNI, and you may deny or withdraw such access at any time by calling RCN at 800-RING-RCN (800-746-4726). If you exercise your right to deny or withdraw access to your CPNI, you will be precluded from participating, or continuing to participate, in the RCN Customer Rewards Program. Your denial of approval to provide consent for access to your CPNI for the RCN Customer Rewards Program will not affect the provision of any service(s) to which you subscribe. Your decision to either approve or deny approval for the use of CPNI is valid until you affirmatively revoke or limit such approval or denial.

By checking the box below to accept the terms and conditions of the RCN Customer Rewards program, you will be providing your affirmative and express consent to share your CPNI with Revolution Money Inc.

Eligibility
Participation in the Program is available to any residential RCN service subscriber who: (a) is an active RCN customer (b) is over the age of eighteen (18) years; (c) maintains an active and current RCN customer billing account; (d) subscribes to one or more of the following RCN Services: (i) digital cable, (ii) phone, (iii) high speed Internet services; (e) is approved and agrees to the terms and conditions of the RCN Customer Rewards Credit Card Agreement; and (f) agrees to the terms and conditions of the Customer Rewards Program.

One Program Account Per Service Address.
Qualification for participation in the Program is based upon customer’s RCN service address and the services provided at that address. Customers are not allowed to combine multiple accounts even if they are paying for services at multiple addresses.

No Commercial Customers, RCN Employees.
Neither commercial customers nor RCN employees are eligible to participate in the Program.

Point Accumulation
Customer must authorize the automatic reoccurring payment of their monthly RCN invoice with the RCN Customer Rewards credit card to be awarded Rewards points. Points will accumulate at a rate of one point for each dollar spent towards RCN service charges (including additional charges such as taxes and surcharges). Points will be rounded up to the next point for payments totaling more than a whole dollar amount (e.g., $101.20 earns 102 points). Customers will not accrue points for any purchases made prior to the effective date of enrollment in the Program and no retroactive points will be awarded.

Redemption of Points:
Customer can only redeem accumulated points for select products by calling 877-726-3000. Customer Reward points must equal or exceed the point value of the product or service selected. Cash payments of any kind will not be accepted for the redemption of products on the RCN Customer Rewards site. Customer Reward points are non-transferable and are void where prohibited. Points have no cash value, are non-negotiable, are non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed either in whole or in part for cash or any other remuneration except those rewards designated by RCN in its sole discretion. RCN does not guarantee availability of products or services. RCN and its partners/ suppliers reserve the right to change, modify, or remove products and services at any time without notice.

Loss of Rewards Points / Disqualification from Customer Rewards Program
Customers will lose point balances under the following conditions:
  • Customer’s RCN account has a past due balance that exceeds sixty (60) days
  • Customer disconnects one or more qualifying connections (phone, Internet, or cable)
  • Cancellation, in whole or in part, of RCN service
  • Cancellation of the Customer Rewards Card or general inactivity (no accrual of points) in the Customer Rewards program for more than one (1) year will result in a loss of all accrued points.
  • Unredeemed Points will expire two (2) years from the date of issuance, on a monthly rolling basis, even if the customer’s subscription to RCN Services remains active.
  • RCN reserves the right to disqualify any person and/or account from participation in the Program, refuse to award or redeem Points, and/or deny participation and/or eligibility in the Program, if, in its sole judgment, such person has violated any of the terms, conditions, or purpose of the Program, including but not limited to fraud, abuse of privileges, or misrepresentations.
