RCN's primary sponsorship and commercial partnership focus is on supporting
sports and entertainment facilities and teams that promote competition and choice.
RCN’s senior management team approves applicable commercial partnerships and
sponsorships based on the mutual value to the community, as well as the company
and its shareowners.
RCN local market management may make decisions to fund local sponsorships and
commercial partnerships as long as they do not conflict with existing corporate
sponsorship. These decisions are determined on an individual basis. RCN will not
enter into any corporate partnerships or sponsorships with any organization that
discriminates based on race, religion, or creed.

D.C. United
RCN is an Official Sponsor and Corporate Partner of Washington's Major League
Soccer team, D.C. United. RCN is also a presenting sponsor of the team's Community
Soccer Series, which consists of five youth soccer clinics led by D.C. United players
in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, and is a sponsor of their Premier
Youth Soccer Tournament Series.

The Patriot Center
RCN is an official sponsor of the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Located on the
campus of Northern Virginia's George Mason University, the Patriot Center is a
10,000-seat arena that hosts George Mason basketball games, commencement ceremonies, and
a wide variety of performances and special events.
