To support as many worthy programs and organizations as possible, RCN
typically partners with broad-based charities such as the United Way. In
many cases, we are able to promote the goals of these organizations through
in-kind cable TV advertising space donations that reach our expansive
subscriber base. In addition, our market teams support the local chapters
of a number of charities through monetary and in-kind donations.
RCN also encourages its employees to take part in the communities in which
they work and live by volunteering their time and talents to local chapters of
their favorite charity or organizations bettering their neighborhoods or
improving the lives of others.
Contribution Guidelines
RCN has established a set of charitable giving guidelines to assist 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organizations seeking cash or in-kind donations.

Pennsylvania Stoners Sports Academy
RCN's PA market is a proud sponsor of the Pennsylvania Stoners Sports Academy
(PSSA) and the Pennsylvania Stoners, the newly re-formed Lehigh Valley Minor
League soccer team. PSSA was formed to address local unfulfilled soccer and sports
opportunities due to a lack of training or funds. Its purpose and goal is to improve
the environment of local youth sports in the community. Organized by a board of
directors, PSSA plans to support the Lehigh Valley community by forming youth
training clinics and camps, which will be staffed by the local college and high
school players competing on the Pennsylvania Stoners soccer team. The team will
start league play in the summer of 2008 in the Northeast Division of the National
Premier Soccer League; games will be held in the recently renovated J Birney Crum
Stadium in Allentown.
