I received a letter telling
me my Basic phone plan is being eliminated, why can’t I continue
to subscribe to this plan?
There is increasing demand for unlimited calling plans from
consumers, a trend which started with wireless phone plans.
In order to meet customer demand for simple unlimited phone
calling packages we are eliminating confusing, and what can
be very expensive per minute billing phone plans. The basic
phone plan has a monthly recurring charge and the consumer
is billed based on a per minute basis for each call. Now,
with RCN’s unlimited calling plan you pay only on flat charge
of $20 per month for unlimited local calling without having
to worry about per minute charges which can add up.

allowance and the consumer is billed based on a per minute
basis for each call. Now, with RCN’s unlimited calling plan
you pay only on flat charge of $20 per month for unlimited
local calling, in any local area, without having to worry
about per minute charges which can add up.

I want to have a
second line for occasional usage and for my fax line, do I
have to pay $20 for that service?
If you subscribe to the Unlimited Phone Plan or have a bundle
package with phone included and add a second Unlimited Local
Plan line, the charge for the second line is only $10 per
month for unlimited local calling.

I received a letter
telling me my Premium plan line is being moved to the unlimited
local phone plan and rate is going to be $20 per month. Why
do I have to pay more for the same service?
RCN provides the greatest value to subscribers for bundling
voice, video and data services together. In order to provide
these package savings values, we can no longer provide savings
in single service subscriptions like a single unlimited local
phone line. We encourage you to take advantage of the savings
we offer consumers by selecting one of our package offerings,
there is a package to suit varied communication needs and
promotional incentives are available now.

I received a notification
about the elimination of my phone plan which includes local,
regional and long distance calling and features, why can’t
I continue to have this plan on my account?
This phone plan does not include unlimited regional and long
distance calling which consumers have been requesting. To
meet consumer demand we have eliminated this plan and developed
a plan with unlimited local and long distance calling .To
help cover the high cost of providing unlimited regional and
long distance calling in this plan we have taken the plan
up only $12.

about the elimination of my Digital Showcase cable package
which includes premiums and digital vision, why can’t I continue
to subscribe to this package?
RCN provides the greatest value to subscribers for bundling
voice, video and data services together. In order to provide
bundled savings discounts we can no longer offer deep discounting
for single service subscriptions, in this case for the Digital
Showcase package. We encourage you to take advantage of the
savings we offer consumers by selecting one of our multiple
service package offerings, there is a package to suit varied
communication needs and promotional incentives are available
now.
